Printer states - BuildBee Support

Printer states

When viewing your printers in the printer list, you will notice that each of them (if you have more than one) will display the current state of that BuildBee. These statuses tell you what the printer is doing and are useful for troubleshooting purposes.

Ready

This BuildBee is connected to the Internet and connected to a printer.

This does not necessarily mean the printer is powered on. If you are unable to print with a printer that is displaying a 'Ready' status, check that the printer is switched on and that the power supply is assembled correctly and plugged into a working power socket.

Disconnected

This BuildBee is connected to the Internet, but disconnected from a printer. You will not be able to print with a disconnected BuildBee. Double-check that the USB cable between the BuildBee CloudDock and printer is connected properly. You may also like to try a different USB slot on the BuildBee CloudDock . The 'SYSTEM INFO' section of the maintenance console will still be available, allowing you to download the logs for that BuildBee CloudDock or reboot it.

Offline

This BuildBee is not connected to the Internet. The power may not be connected or you may need to check your network settings (network name, password, proxy information etc.) to make sure BuildBee isn't being denied access and that you have the correct information in the configuration file you generated. If any changes have been made to your network after a BuildBee has been configured, you may need to re-configure (this includes your network password for DET and enterprise setups).

Updating

This BuildBee is currently in the middle of an update.

Whether you started the update or we arranged to remotely update for you, DO NOT remove any cables from the BuildBee whilst it is updating. Simply wait for it to finish so you can get back to enjoying the latest and greatest that BuildBee has to offer!

Analysing/Slicing

This BuildBee is currently analysing the model you selected to print. Your printer will start to respond to commands from the attached BuildBee CloudDock . Once this process starts, you are able to refresh your browser to start another print or exit the page altogether.

Printing

This printer is currently printing. This status will also display an estimated time remaining for that print and a 'CANCEL' button. This printer will be unavailable until it finishes printing.

DO NOT try to print another model before double-checking that the bed is clear. Trying to print with something else stuck to the bed will cause failures and may damage your printer.
