Using BuildBee on a smartphone or tablet
BuildBee can run as a web app, which means you can use it from any internet connected device with a browser. This allows you to send jobs to a 3D printer connected to a CloudDock or the BuildBee desktop app, from anywhere.
Step 1 - Make sure your 3D printer is set up on BuildBee
- Set up your 3D printer with a CloudDock and ensure that it is ready to print to (recommended).
- If you don't have a CloudDock, you can download the BuildBee desktop app and run your 3D printer with your computer.
Your computer will have to be left on with the BuildBee desktop app open if you wish to print remotely to it.
Step 2 - Sign in to BuildBee on your smartphone or tablet
- Sign in to your account.
Step 3 - Adding 3D models on the go
- If your device supports the ability to download files from a website, the upload process will be very similar to the way it is done on a computer.
- Simply download an STL file from your website of choice (Thingiverse, MyMiniFactory etc.) and upload it using your mobile device.
Step 4 - Run a 3D print
- Choose a model and run through the print process as you normally would.
