Bulk upload users


Easily set up your BuildBee site by bulk uploading your users directly to groups.

Step 1 - Sign in to BuildBee

 - Sign in to BuildBee with an account that is able to manage groups and users.

Step 2 - Access a group

- Go to the groups section of enterprise tools.
- Select a group to upload to.

Step 3 - Download the bulk upload template

- Edit the group by selecting the pencil icon at the top of the page.
- In the users panel, select the 'BULK UPLOAD USERS' button.
- Select 'DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE'.

Step 4 - Fill out the template

- Open the template CSV file in your spreadsheet software of choice (Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets etc). 
- Fill out the first column with a list of email addresses that you wish to add to your enterprise site.
- Make sure to save your changes to the template. 
If you are saving to a new file, ensure the file is a comma delimited CSV file.

Step 5 - Upload populated template to a BuildBee group

- Return to the bulk upload page and upload your edited template file by selecting on the 'UPLOAD COMPLETED TEMPLATE' button or by dragging and dropping the completed template file onto the dashed upload zone.
- Read the summary of the actions to be taken and ensure that the desired changes will be made. Once you are sure that the information is correct select 'ADD USERS TO GROUP'.   
- You will see a summary of the upload once it has been completed. You may also be prompted to resolve any issues that occurred during the upload.

Step 6 - Informing your users

- Any users who already have accounts in your site will be added to the group automatically.
- Any users without accounts will receive emails informing them that accounts have been created. We strongly recommended that you contact your users directly and ensure that they understand what BuildBee is and why accounts have been created for them.
